About Burnham RNLI

stock11 About Burnham RNLIBurnham on Crouch has had a lifeboat station in the town for over 40 years. We are also one of only three stations in the country to have both boats kept in floating boathouses.

We have two boats – one being an Atlantic 75 B733, the ‘Brandy Hole’. This boat arrived on station in February 1997 and was officially taken into service on the 7th June 1997.
We also have an IB1, the ‘Ernest & Rose Chapman II’. This is the second boat to be donated by David & Barbara. Chapman in memory of David’s parents. This boat arrived on station in February 2007 and was officially taken into service on the 9th June 2007.

Having outgrown the station at the eastern end of the town, the existing station was built in 1997 at the western end of the town in the new marina. At the same time, the floating boathouses were also situated in the marina to house the Atlantic and the D-class.
