Happy New Year to you all!

Burnham on Crouch Lifeboat station crew and staff would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and to take this opportunity to say a great big ‘thank you’ to everyone that’s supported us in 2009.

It was a very busy, challenging, satisfying and adrenaline pumping year and 2010 will no doubt be the same!

The crew have worked extremely hard to provide not only the emergency cover required on the rivers around the town, but they’ve also worked tirelessly on the fundraising efforts for the Floating Boathouse Appeal.

The hard work and effort is paying off – the total so far for the appeal stands at just over £40,000 towards our £130,000 target.

This wouldn’t have been possible without your continued support and we are all extremely appreciative. We will continue with the fundraising and if you have any ideas on how we can raise more, please do get in touch.

In the meantime, we’ll continue to do what we do best – save lives at sea.
