The Atlantic 75 Lifeboat was launched to assist a 42ft vessel which had run aground at the Swallowtail.

When the Lifeboat crew reached the scene, they ensured everyone was well, no damage had been sustained and agreed that the crew on the casualty vessel would stay and wait for high water to refloat.

The Lifeboat then returned to station where she was made ready for her next service.

The Atlantic 75 Lifeboat was tasked to assist a fishing vessel at the Buxeys which had become aground.

The Lady Essex which was passingat the time, assisted in towing the fishing vessel into deeper water and when the Lifeboat crew arrived on scene, they took over the tow and returned the vessel to Burnham.

The Atlantic 75 Lifeboat was called to assist a 21ft fishing vessel which had suffered an electrical failure. This also meant their VHF radio was unusable.

When the Lifeboat reached the casualty, the crew secured a tow and then took the vessel to Paglesham.

After the fishing boat had been settled in at the boatyard, the Lifeboat crew returned to station where they refulled and made ready for their next service.

The Atlantic 75 Lifeboat was called into action early today to assist an 11m sailing vessel which had run aground on the Swallowtail.

When the Lifeboat reached the stricken vessel, the crew secured a tow and pulled her into deeper water. The vessel then made her way on to her destination and the Lifeboat returned to station.

The Atlantic 75 Lifeboat was launched to assist a 46′ Swan vessel which had run aground near to Buxey No 2.

There were five people on board and after establishing that everyone was well and happy to remain on the vessel, the Lifeboat returned to station.

The stricken vessel continued on her way to Ipswich when she refloated.

The Atlantic 75 Lifeboat was launched having just returned from exercise following a report from a member of the public that a vessel was overdue. The vessel was due back at Bradwell, however had failed to arrive.

The Lifeboat headed out to the Whittaker and carried out an extensive search working together with HM Coastguard, the RAF Sea King and Police Helicopters along the coast and further along the rivers.

West Mersea lifeboat also carried out a search of the coast near to Bradwell however the missing vessel could not be found.

All crews returned to their respective stations in the early hours of the morning.

NB: The vessel and it’s occupant were found safe and well lunchtime the following day.

The stricken fishing boat was aground, listing and the liferaft had been deployed. The crew were taken on board by the Lifeboat and were transferred back to Burnham Yacht Harbour.

The Lifeboat was then made ready for her next service.

The Atlantic Lifeboat, Brandy Hole, was called out today to assist the fishing vessel assisted earlier in the day as it had suffered a power loss and had run aground, near to the Outer Crouch buoy.

The Lifeboat located the vessel and secured a tow, ensuring the safety of her crew. The Lifeboat crew then towed the fishing boat back to Burnham Yacht Harbour.

The IB1, Ernest & Rose Chapman II Lifeboat was launched early this morning to a report of a vessel aground near to Burnham Yacht Harbour.

The Lifeboat Crew found the fishing vessel aground near to the beach on Burnham river front. It’s crew were intending to continue to Sunderland, from Pagelsham.

After establishing that the stricken vessels crew were happy to remain on board, the Lifeboat crew returned to station where they were refuelled and made ready for their next service.

Burnham on Crouch Lifeboat Station has had it’s first emergency call of 2010 to a sighting of a red flare towards the direction of South Woodham Ferrers.

The Crew carried out an extensive search of the area with the Police Helicopter, up to Hullbridge however nothing was found.

The Lifeboat then returned to station.
