Professional Photos On Sale To Raise Funds For New Boathouse!
By Claire Rawlinson | February 23, 2010
Are you a keen sailor? Do you own professional photos of your yacht sailing into the sunset? If the answer’s no, read on! If the answers yes, keep reading anyway – this may still interest you!
Hugh Bourn, professional photographer and resident of Burnham on Crouch may have a photograph of your boat, and it could be yours!
Over the years Hugh has taken thousands of photographs of various different types of vessel and his reference prints (postcard size) can now be purchased in aid of the Lifeboats. A list of all the boats is available on request why not see if yours is amongst them?
Burnham RNLI will be receiving a brand new Atlantic 85 Lifeboat in 2011 and requires a new floating boathouse in which to house it. The station is required to raise £50,000 towards the cost and it is hoped Hugh’s generous offer will help substantially towards the fundraising.
Of course, you don’t need to be a member of the sailing community to admire a lovely photograph, so if boats are your thing or you just appreciate a first class picture, give Annie Hemingway a call on her mobile 07774 195506 or why not pop into the Burnham Museum where there is a list of the photographed boats available, and help us to help save lives at sea.
