A Great Big Thank You!

By Claire Rawlinson | January 31, 2009

stock10Burnham on Crouch Lifeboat Station would like to say a huge thank you to the owners of ‘Maria Louisa’ for allowing hoardes of Burnham’s Lifeboat Crew to board their vessel and carry out a plethora of training exercises.

The exercises, carried out on Thursday evening, included confined space rescues, casualty handling, first aid scenarios and access and egress from a high sided vessel.

Without the ability to use vessels such as these it would be a great deal more difficult to carry out training in ‘real life’ situations. Regular training exercises are carried out at the Station and are all about teamwork, competence and safe procedures, so once again, thank you for assisting in helping our crew with the training needed for them to complete forthcoming rescues as safely and competently as possible.
