Christmas Carol Service
By Claire Rawlinson | December 17, 2009
Burnham on Crouch RNLI held their annual Carol Service at St Mary’s Church, Burnham on Wednesday 16th December at 7:30pm.
Mulled wine and mince pies roundedoff an evening of festive carols and readings organised by the Lifeboat Guild.
Over 160 people braved the cold wet weather to hear Father Lionel Webber pay tribute to the Lifeboat Crew, support staff and their families in what has been an extremely busy and difficult year. He said “the crew that volunteer are trained for difficult situations and have had to deal with three tragic shouts in the last few months. It’s at times like this that they turn to their families for support and they too are a valuable asset to the Lifeboat community.”
