stock10Launched – diverted from previous shout, Rehoused 17:00

Whilst the Atlantic 75 Lifeboat was attending to the vessel with the broken mast, it was diverted to another yacht with four people on board, which had missed a tack and had run aground and damaged its rudder.

As there was insufficient water to tow the vessel off the sands, two people were taken on to the Lifeboat, leaving the remaining two to wait for the tide to come in & refloat the vessel.

The Lifeboat then returned to the yacht with the the broken mast & towed it back to Priors Boat Yard.
