By Claire Rawlinson | May 29, 2010

Launched 11:12, Rehoused 14:48

The Atlantic 75 was launched on service to meet the crew of Southend Lifeboat station at Blacktail Spit to assist a 23ft Seamaster which had suffered a damaged stern drive.

The Southend Lifeboat crew had towed the vessel as far as the Maplin Bell when they transferred to the Burnham crew.

A Lifeboat crew member was transferred to the casualty vessel and due to the inclement weather conditions one of the members on board the damaged sports boat was suffering from sea sickness.

The vessel was towed back to Burnham Yacht Harbour and the Lifeboat was made ready for her next service.
