The IB1 Lifeboat was launched to assist a female walker who had fallen at the base of the seawall near to the Rice & Coles pontoon on the River Crouch.

A Lifeboat Deputy Launch Authority was in the area at the time and it was decided to bring four additional crew members via road to the site to assist in the evacuation of the casualty.

The additional crew members were able to assist in the removal of the lady in a stretcher over the sea wall and into the waiting ambulance.
