Shout: Stranding

Launched 15:25, Rehoused 17:47 Thames Coastguard phoned the Lifeboat Operations Manager to ask if he was prepared to launch the Atlantic 75 to a yacht aground on the Buxey Sands as there were force 7 winds forcast.  It was decided that the Lifeboat would be reasonably sheltered under the lee of the Bank and that the water would not be too rough…

Shout: Machinery Failure

Diverted from exercise 10:15, Rehoused 11:05 B 722 was diverted from exercise to rendevous with a police RIB, which was standing by a 26′ power cruiser that was thought to be out of fuel.  The police boat was on her way to exercise on the Blackwater and could not spare the time to tow the casualty to Burnham.  The Lifeboat put a crew man on board…
