Shout: Red Flares Sighted

The Atlantic 75 and IB1 Lifeboats were requested to launch by Thames Coastguard, following a number of reports of red flares sighted at the mouth of the river close to the Buxey’s.
An extensive search of the river and creeks was carried out in conjuction with Clacton Lifeboat, together with land searches carried out by Bradwell and Southend Mobile Coastguards.
White para flares were deployed to try & illuminate the area to assist with the search, however after four hours nothing had been found and the Lifeboats returned to station.
