By Claire Rawlinson | November 24, 2009
Launched 11:06, Rehoused 13:30
The IB1 Lifeboat was launched to reports of a dinghy which had capsized near to Brandy Hole in the River Crouch.
The person on board had been seen waving to attract attention, however when the Lifeboat reached the casualty he was found to be very cold and in need of medical attention.
The Lifeboat crew transferred the gentleman to an awaiting ambulance and then recovered the dinghy.
The Lifeboats at Burnham on Crouch Station have now been launched a total of 74 times, to 60 incidents this year – a figure unprecedented for the towns volunteer crew.
