Shout: Machinery Failure
By Claire Rawlinson | April 15, 2003
Launched 16:28, Rehoused 18:12
The Lifeboat was launched to assist a 31′ powerboat anchored near the Outer Crouch Buoy and unable to restart its engine.
The LB crew discovered that the casualty vessel’s batteries had been flattened while trying to restart the engine which had stopped on account of dirty or waxy diesel.
The Lifeboat therefore towed the boat to its own berth in Essex Marina.
