The Lifeboat was launched in response to a call for help from an angling party right out of the mouth of the River Crouch by Barrow No 7 Buoy with an overheating engine. 

The Lifeboat towed the casualty vessel to Burnham Yacht Harbour where the drive shaft to the freshwater circulation pump was found to have sheered.
