Both the IB1 and Atlantic 75 Lifeboats were launched to reports of a missing female in the vicinity of South Woodham Ferrers on the River Crouch.

The Lifeboats carried out an extensive search of the river and surrounding creeks together with Police, the RAF Sea King Helicopter and Coastguard Teams, however they were stood down shortly after 20:30 and returned to station.

The lady was later found safe and well.
