Shout: Person Thought To Be Missing
By Claire Rawlinson | December 1, 2003
Launched 17:09, Rehoused 18:45
Both boats launched to search for a wildfowler reported missing on Bridgemarsh Island. He had left his companion about 30 minutes previously to fetch their dinghy and not returned. The Atlantic 75 sighted one of the wildfowlers and put a crew member ashore, the other one then came over on seeing the crewman’s torch.
All three plus a dog then walked to the dinghy and rendezvoued with the Lifeboat which had made its way there by water.
On hearing that the wildfowlers were safe, the ILB returned to station while the A 75 took the wildfowlers, the dog the dingy and a procession of ducks round the tail of the island and landed them at Bridgemarsh Marina.
