The Atlantic 75 ‘Brandy Hole’ Lifeboat was launched following a request for help from Thames Coastguard as a gentleman had fallen ill on the Lady Essex.

RAF Sea King Helipcoter 125 was also tasked to assist and met the Lifeboat at the Outer Crouch. The casualty was airlifted to Colchester General Hospital for further care.

The Lifeboat then returned to station.
