Shout: Vessel Aground
By Claire Rawlinson | August 8, 2009
Launched 17:55, Rehoused 19:12
The Atlantic 75 Lifeboat was launched to a report of a vessel aground south of Buxey no2.
The 29ft long keel yacht had three people and a dog on board and was reported to be leaning quite considerably.
The Lifeboat helped to lay an anchor out for the stricken vessel and one adult and one child were removed leaving the skipper on board to wait for the next high tide.
The Lifeboat then returned to Burnham Yacht Harbour where she was refuelled and made ready for her next service.
