The Atlantic 75 Lifeboat was launched to reports of a dinghy in difficulties near to Rice & Coles Boat Yard in Burnham on Crouch.

When the Lifeboat reached the search area they were then informed that the vessel, with two persons on board, was in fact at Priors Jetty.

The Lifeboat offered assistance to the occupants of the dinghy, however they felt able to reach the shore unassisted.

When the Lifeboat crew were happy that their assistance was not required, they then returned to station.
