Shout: Vessel Overdue

The Atlantic 75 Lifeboat was launched having just returned from exercise following a report from a member of the public that a vessel was overdue. The vessel was due back at Bradwell, however had failed to arrive.
The Lifeboat headed out to the Whittaker and carried out an extensive search working together with HM Coastguard, the RAF Sea King and Police Helicopters along the coast and further along the rivers.
West Mersea lifeboat also carried out a search of the coast near to Bradwell however the missing vessel could not be found.
All crews returned to their respective stations in the early hours of the morning.
NB: The vessel and it’s occupant were found safe and well lunchtime the following day.
